Avian Wellness Care
We recommend regular wellness visits for birds of all ages. The wellness visit will include a thorough physical exam and the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have about your pet’s wellness.
If necessary, we also provide basic husbandry care, including:- Beak trims
- Nail trims
- Wing trims
- Husbandry
- Routine lab work (for certain types of pets)
A large majority of all problems with exotics is poor husbandry. This is why it’s a key part of the wellness exam—we need as much information as possible to evaluate what they are eating, what their environment is like, and other important aspects of daily care. Proper husbandry ensures a healthy life for your bird.
Exotic Pet Wellness Care
In addition to birds, our veterinary team provides care for small pocket pets, and reptiles. We also occasionally see pot-bellied pigs, pygmy goats, and other larger exotics. If it can fit through the door, we’ll see it! Regular exams are recommended to maintain your pet’s health, and to identify health concerns before they develop into serious medical issues.
